Hello and welcome to The Great Word Nerd! I’m Salina, and yes, I truly am a nerd. As a mommy to two beautiful, sweet and demanding girls, I cherish the quiet hours of night, during which I’m able to whip out creative articles, short stories and posts and also immerse myself in amazing books.
I often joke that my first love was Mother Goose. By the time I made it to college (after decades of cowering under my comforter with a flashlight and a paperback) I decided I wanted to be a writer. And so that’s what I set out to do. The story of how it all unfolded is way too long and interesting to do justice in a few paragraphs, but while working in Corporate America, I penned my first novel. Then two more. I’m (still) working on my fourth, but in the meantime, I’ve written a world of articles, posts, and non-fiction books (five to be precise–all ghostwritten). I realize not everyone is as fortunate enough to practice their passion and make a career out of it, which is why it’s become a part of my life’s goal to help others who share this ambition.
Life’s short and we’ve all got dreams. lf I can make a difference in the life of even one person, I’ll be a happy little worm 🙂
